Paintings from Nepal

In collaboration with a school in Kathmandu that teaches children primarily values and art, we would like to present the beautiful works of art that they have made available to us and thus made them available to the European market.

Take home real art

“We would like to help and support them by bringing works of art to homes in Vienna. Thanks to this, the children there can continue to create and learn about inner values, culture, freedom and how to dream big.”

“During my visit there, I met this lovely boy, Vinay, who enthusiastically showed me around the city and told me about their rich religious and cultural treasures.

The country is very poor and the living conditions are disheartening, but at the same time this boy was taught the true values that will always be with him: helpfulness, politeness, generosity.

He wanted to show me the school where he paints and the paintings that he helped create with his friends, so I walked with him through the narrow streets. He told me that they still haven’t been able to repair the damage from the earthquake and that the school, which means the world to him, is in an even more difficult situation since then.

I was lucky enough to meet the teacher, who very wisely encourages his students to walk the streets and talk to tourists in all their free time – thereby learning the language and helping the school, showing their art, which is breathtaking, without exaggeration.

They don’t just sell paintings, but a piece of culture, mindfulness, painstakingly created and meaningful images of their faith, which help outsiders imagine what it means to be Buddhist. They put all their hopes and dreams into these images, they are made with love and discipline, with the utmost precision and meticulousness.

I bought a painting myself, and what surprised me the most was that for the rest of my stay, the boy I helped pay for it, Vinay, was at my service and helped me with whatever I needed from a local. He was helpful in translating, guiding, explaining, and introducing me to the innermost circles of the religion, and our relationship was characterized by mutual gratitude.”

All of the children there have just one dream

The school prays every day for the well-being of those who helped them maintain the institution by purchasing a painting. They are grateful and appreciate their helpers, so we stayed in touch with Vinay after my visit home.

Now I would like to help them by making some of their paintings more accessible to the European public. I ask you, if you cannot afford to buy one of them, at least come to our public exhibitions and admire these works of art in person, because believe me, it is really worth it.”
