The Kalachakra Mandala was designed by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama. It can be interpreted as the floor plan of the Kalachakra abode in the pure environment. It depicts large buildings or palaces standing on a raised base, with four walls, each with a door in the middle.   The entire building is covered by a roof. The five floors of the palace symbolize the levels of body, speech and mind, untouched awareness and great bliss.
